The best place for water sport activities and marine sports are in Tanjung Benoa Nusa Dua Beach , Sanur Beach, Kuta Beach, Amed, Tulamben and Menjangan.

 

Uluwatu

Uluwatu temple is precariously located at the point of a sheer cliff on the island's southern peninsula. It is one of the oldest and most important temples in Bali, one of the six original sad Khayangan (territorial) temples on the island. More recently Uluwatu has also become famous for its challenging surf break (experienced surfers only), and spectacular views from the warungs (restaurants) perched on the cliff.

 

 

Jimbaran Beach
Jimbaran Beach is just south of Kedonganan Beach and has very beautiful white sand suitable for recreation and relaxation. It is quieter than its neighboring beaches, and one will find nice hotels and many seafood restaurants. Jimbaran is, in fact, known for its delicious fresh seafood.

 

Kedonganan Beach
About 3 kilometers south of Bali's international airport, the fishing village of Kedonganan boasts a traditional fish market and a great number of traditional fishing boats that can be engaged to sail around the gulf for a picturesque view of the cresent beach.

 

 

 

 

Tanjung Benoa
Located north of Nusa Dua, this is a beautiful white sand beach area where visitors can enjoy many types of water recreation and sports such as snorkeling, parasailing, diving, boating, sailing, and more. This area is an extension of Nusa Dua, with easy access to its luxurious hotels and other tourism facilities.

 

 

 

 

 

Kuta Beach
Once a poor fishing village with a black history of lepers and witches, Kuta began to provide what visitors wanted and soon became a key point on the sea route from
India through Southeast Asia to Australia. Now, Kuta is Bali's most famous and popular beach town. One of its primary attractions is its long stretch of white sand along its picturesque bay. The famous Kuta sunset is stunning, and there is a wide selection of hotels and bungalows to choose from. Kuta is also known for its lively nightlife, its wide variety of international restaurants, and its many recreational activities.

 

Batubulan
Just outside of Denpasar on the road to Ubud, the small village of Batubulan greets you with platoons of stone statues that line the roadside in a impressive array. Terrible fanged demons, noble warriors, and animals of all shapes and sizes and at all stages of completion rest under the shady trees waiting to be purchased.

 

Celuk
Balinese jewelry is unique, and Celuk is the home of much of it. Nearly every family in Celuk is involved in their trademark gold and silver work that has become very famous over the years.

Ubud
Famous for its painter’s community, Ubud is special in more ways than one. Its beautiful surroundings and gracious way of life have drawn celebrities and artists from all over the world for decades; some have even adopted Ubud as their home. An array of boutique hotels and unique restaurants now beckon to Bali's most culturally inclined tourists.

 

 

Monkey Forest Ubud
Nestled between the villages of Nyuh Kuning and Padang Tegal in Ubud lies Wenara Wana, more polulary knows as the monkey forest. This small forest is inhabited by hundreds of macaque monkeys who delight visitors with there antics. Being used to humans, the monkeys will frolic with each other and steal any food away from you, so be careful! there is a lovely little grotto down below with an ancient banyan tree as well the local temple called Pura Dalem.

 

 

 

 

Goa Gajah
Goa Gajah/Elephant Cave is an ancient omission in the form of a cave with the high value of art and history. Goa Gajah is one of tourist destinations in Bali that is visited by a lot of tourists every day. Gunung Kawi
These 11th century tombs, carved out of the rock face of the gorge of the Pakerisan river, are approached by a steep descent through breathtaking scenery. Across the gorge are some more impressive tombs that were the meditation caves of the men who were the keepers of the tombs.

 

 

 

Tampak Siring / Holy Spring Water Temple

Tampak Siring or recognized also by the name of Tirta Empul is a temple with a big water source residing in the middle of it. The water is clear, clean and holy assumed by the local resident to cure some disease. In Tampak Siring, you will see a Palace of Indonesia State founded by first president. Its place is very beautiful and peaceful that is surrounded by hill. There are many water douche exist in this temple that are using by local people for bathing and purification purpose.

 

Kintamani
Kintamani is a name of countryside located in the hill and the beautiful panorama surround it. We can see beautiful panorama from Kintamani to overview the active volcano of Batur Mount and wide Lake of Batur in a valley. It is situated in the plateau area with cool weather surround it. Kehen Temple
Just north of Bangli,
Kehen Temple is one of the largest temples in Bali and is a stirring example of the skill of the stone-carvers of the region. Founded in the 11th century, Kehen Temple has three courtyards that are each entered through towering, carved gateways.

 

 

 

Besakih Temple

Kertha Gosa
is an ancient building designed with Balinese architecture that is an open house as jurisdiction place where the king announce the legislation, jurisdiction, penalization etc. Kerta Gosa building is very beautiful encircled by the fishpond with tropical plantations to add the artistic value that makes this place is good places to be visited. In its building roof, it is covered by full of ancient puppets picture depicting human life in eternity and also reward accepted. They are especially known for their ceiling murals that depict punishments in hell for miscreants and rewards in heaven for the righteous.

 

Goa Lawah
About 43 kilometers east of Denpasar, Goa Lawah is one of the most sacred temples in Bali. Built in the 11th century, this temple occupies a natural cave that is inhabited by thousands upon thousands of chirping bats.

 

 

 

 

Tanah Lot
Carved out of the landscape by tides, wind, and rain, the huge offshore sentinel rock of Tanah Lot supports a small but picturesque temple that is Bali's most photographed location. Only reachable by land during low tide, Tanah Lot Temple is the favored destination of most tourists to view the sun set as it retires behind the remarkable natural formation.

 

 

Taman Ayun Temple
Taman Ayun means 'beautiful garden', an appropriate name indeed for this most picturesque temple located in Mengwi. King of Mengwi I Gusti Agung Anom built is stately courtyards and its large moat in the year 1634. Containing both the royal family ancestral shrines and shrines to the major deities, Taman Ayun was the main temple for the ancient kingdom of Mengwi and is now a popular tourist attraction.

 

Bedugul
In the center highlands of
Bali is the serene mountain area of Bedugul where high altitude vegetables, fruits, and flowers thrive in the cool climate. There is also a large botanical garden nearby. At Lake Beratan, various water sports are also available.

 

 

Jatiluwih
Approximately 20 kilometers from Tabanan, the road climbs up high into the hills to a small village named Jatiluwih. At 850 meters altitude, the view here is one of the finest in
Bali. Bali’s trademark terraced rice fields stretch into endless contours over the hills and valleys as far as the eye can see.

 

 

 

Gitgit Waterfall
South of Singaraja is Gitgit waterfall, Bali’s highest waterfall. Nestled deep in the mountains, this beautiful wilderness area is a must for nature lovers who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the larger towns.

     

Tenganan Village

 

From Padang Bay the road follows a beautiful stretch inland and turns off at the mountain village Tenganan. Tenganan is a Bali Aga village-one of the few Balinese communities to resist the Majapahit invasion of 1343. It is a walled village consisting of two rows of identical houses. This is the only place in Indonesia where double-weaving ikat, Geringsing, is produced. The village is also famous for its lontar sacred books, traditional Balinese palm-leaf books.

 

 

 

 

Candidasa

 

Candidasa is around 2 hours drive from Kuta or the airport of Bali. Candidasa Tourist resort is beautiful place to feel the other parts of Bali, most hotels in Candidasa are located by the beach. Unfortunately the beach is not suitable for swimming. The beach at Candidasa has been marred by T-form jetties protruding into the water, intended to stop the erosion from years coral blasting. These structures make it imposible to walk more than 50 meters on the beach, once truly lovely landscape. In any case, now the beach is only visible at low tide.

 

 

 

 

Amed

 

Is one of Bali's diving spot. It is around 3 hours drive from the airport of Bali and is 2.5 hours from Sanur.
Ten years ago Amed was just a quiet fishing village with one losmen. It's still quiet - there's no phone line into Amed yet - but being developed fast.

 

Amed is north west of Amlapura, and a couple of hours drive from Candi Dasa. The drive is as rough as it is scenic, so once you get to Amed it's a good idea to stay a few days. There's a collection of beaches around this part of the coast, and they are all good for snorkeling. Off the coast there's a shipwreck, famous in diving circles, and boats can be hired to get there. This is a place to lounge on the shady beach with a good book.

 

 

 

 

Singaraja

 

Lovina is the name a beach in Kalibukbuk village, 12 km to the west of Singaraja. This beach is an 8km strip of black sand on Bali's arid northern coast, renowned for its serenity and a local school of dolphins. The location is peaceful and its beach still natural. There are many pleasant guesthouses to accommodate you.
Singaraja is around 2.5 hours drive from the airport of Bali or 2 hours from Sanur.

 

 

 

 

Jembrana

 

Jembrana’s main point of interest is its West Bali National Park and reserve, which encompasses the forests, mountains, and coasts of much of the district. To enter the Park, visitors must obtain a permit at Cekik, A good road provides a pretty, scenic drive from the Gilimanuk end of the park, in the west,, almost all the way to Lovina in Buleleng. It is in the forest that hems this road that the long-extinct Balinese tiger once roamed, and here also the rare white Balinese starling may be sighted.

 

Menjangan Island is also a part of the National Park, and is renowned as harboring the best reefs in all of Bali for snorkeling and diving. Boats leave regularly to Menjangan from the port adjacent to the island in the park, and diving trips to here can be arranged from Lovina and other major tourist centers. As for surfing, go no further than Medewi beach, on the southern coastal road leading from Kuta to Tabanan and through to Negara. The Rambut Siwi temple complex, located on the north coast road that links Singaraja with Gilimanuk, is without doubt the most renowned temple complex in Jembrana. But in Negara itself, the riverside Gede Prancak temple is also well worth a visit. 

 

 

 

Jembaran Beach

 

Jembaran Beach is a new tourist resort in the southern part of Bali and is only 10 minutes drive from the international airport of Bali. Jimbaran is welknown for its beach restaurants, offer fresh sea food at reasonable prices. Beach restaurants open from 17:00 until 23:00.
